Vertical Dance Hub Basel

Seit März 2026 ist der Vertical Dance Hub Basel auf das Gelände der Trafohalle Bottmingen gezogen.
Eine 11m hohe Außenwand bietet beste Möglichkeiten für Trainings, Workshops und Showings. Als Ausweichmöglichkeit habe ich eine 8m hohe Wand im Innenbereich und eine 22m hohe Wand für Trainings mit langem Seil. Ich freue mich hier nun einen optimalen Ort für Proben mit meiner Company gefunden zu haben. Außerdem kann ich nun auch wieder Workshops anbieten. Zudem soll ab Herbst 2026 in einer Kollaboration mit dem Tanzbüro Basel, Vertical Dance als Profitraining für professionelle Tänzer:innen angeboten werden.

Vertical Dance Hub Basel
2021-2025
The Vertical Dance Hub Basel /CH is the first Hub in Switzerland dedicated to research, artistic residencies and workshops in Vertical Dance. It is also the highest in Europe, with its 34m high wall, wich is since June 2022 magnified by a monumental work of the Basel artist Adrian Falkner, forming a unique stage of 500m2. A second 15m high wall is also equipped.

"Vertical Dance Hub Switzerland Basel/CH" together with Urban Art Agency Switzerland GmbH, directed by Cornelia Kilchherr.

Vertical Dance classes
Rebekka Gather is conducting Vertical Dance Workshops for professional dancers, verticalists, and non-professional movers. Since September 2023, Rebekka Gather has been invited by Zürcher Hochschule der Künste (ZHDK) to teach Vertical Dance at the Vertical Dance Hub Basel.
